Job summary

The Michaels Companies, based in Irving, TX, seeks an Inventory Planner to lead end-to-end inventory flow for mid-to-high complexity categories. You will forecast demand, set stock levels, and coordinate cross-functional decisions to align inventory with business momentum.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) and 3–5 years in demand planning or inventory management, plus experience with Blue Yonder or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, Master’s preferred in Supply Chain or Analytics.
• 3–5 years of demand planning or inventory management experience.
• Experience with advanced planning/forecasting tools (e.g., Blue Yonder).

Responsibilities

• Own the unconstrained demand forecast and improve accuracy through trend analysis.
• Customize inventory approach with safety stock and lead times per item.
• Serve as the inventory expert within the product category team for buys and stock.
• Lead end-to-end lifecycle strategy and sell-down plans for discontinued inventory.
