Job summary

Dechert LLP is seeking a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to research, prepare, and deliver bespoke reports on current and prospective clients, industries, and regions. You will synthesize legal, financial, and forward-looking data to create actionable intelligence for client meetings, pitches, and RFPs.

The role requires strong research skills, familiarity with senior-level communication, and the ability to interact effectively at all Firm levels.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, JD, or MS LIS preferred.
Minimum five (5) years experience in a research-focused role, in a law firm preferred.
Knowledge of the legal services industry required; marketing/business development experience preferred.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research and analysis of companies, industries, technologies, and competitors to uncover key insights for client meetings, pitches and RFPs.
Identify, analyze and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable recommendations.
Provide meaningful recommendations to inform litigation and transactional business development and marketing strategy.
Identify and monitor trends to aid business development for transactional and litigation clients.
Monitor various news/intelligence sources for business development and market visibility opportunities.
Enhance custom formats for delivering business information requests.
