Brigham Young University Hawaii seeks an Institutional Research Manager to lead the Institutional Research Department within the Academic Division. The role focuses on institutional effectiveness, assessment, and program review to improve student learning and the educational environment.

The position ensures accurate data collection, analysis, and dissemination to support planning, accreditation, and continuous improvement across the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field; Master's preferred.
• Five years of relevant experience and/or training in assessment or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Institutional Research operations and prepares data for strategic planning, accreditation and continuous improvement.
• Manages Qualtrics surveys, coordinates campus-wide surveys, and maintains a survey calendar.
• Supports program reviews, develops guidelines and training materials, and provides dashboards and reports for evaluation.
• Hires, trains, and manages student Research Assistants and mentors the IR student research team.
• Supports university assessment efforts and facilitates University Assessment Committee work.
• Collaborates with data governance group to establish data definitions and promote ethical data use.
• Participates in professional associations and serves on the University IRB.
• Assists in accreditation reports and supports assessment benchmarking.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
