Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a seasoned Business Human Resources Partner to serve as the strategic partner to assigned functions. You will shape and implement HR strategies, coach senior leadership, and drive talent development and succession planning to meet current and future business needs.

You will partner with global leaders, manage cross-functional projects, and ensure delivery of HR programs, with focus on engagement, inclusion, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of relevant HR experience.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting the business; strong business acumen.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills in a complex and demanding environment.
• Project management or business experience.
• Experience in organizational development, design, and effectiveness.
• Experience supporting a global business and partnering with internationally‑based business leaders and HR colleagues.
• Strategic thinking with proven experience in leading multiple programs and initiatives, with the ability to prioritize.
• Significant breadth of understanding of functional/CoE HR roles and responsibilities and their impact on the business.
• Experience interacting with and presenting to senior management. Ability to engage employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary strategic partner to the business and lead creation and implementation of HR strategies.
• Coach, consult, and influence senior leaders on leadership development and talent management.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract, develop and retain talent aligned with business needs.
• Ensure delivery of HR programs and services and monitor HR results including client satisfaction and financial outcomes.
• Build relationships with Centers of Excellence to coordinate HR elements for business needs.
• Provide consultation on organization design and effectiveness to ensure optimal performance.
• Drive manager development to foster high engagement and performance.
• Facilitate change and deliver effective communication strategies aligned with priorities.
• Lead large-scale, multi-year HR transformation initiatives.
