McKendree University seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function and advise university leadership. The role combines hands-on leadership with ongoing program improvement across employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and HR compliance.

The Director collaborates with campus leadership to address workforce needs, improve processes, and ensure fair employment practices the number of staff and faculty. This position is based on campus in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field required.
• 7+ years HR experience with 3+ years in management or leadership.
• Experience advising managers, employee relations, and investigations.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state employment laws and HR systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day HR function and serve as advisor to leadership.
• Oversee recruitment, compensation, benefits, and compliance programs.
• Manage HR systems, payroll oversight, reporting, and policy administration.
• Guide employee relations, performance management, and development.
