The University of California Office of the President (UCOP) seeks an experienced, strategic AVP and Chief Human Resources Officer to lead the UCOP HR Department in Oakland, CA. The AVP-CHRO will shape the HR agenda for the system’s headquarters and oversee multiple HR functions, guiding a team of over 35 professionals and seven direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and overall performance of UCOP HR, with oversight across all functions.
• Oversee HR Business Partners, Employee and Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning & Organization Development, Compensation & Payroll, Learning & Development, and HRIS services.
• Collaborate with campuses and systemwide HR leaders to advance shared priorities and UCOP perspectives.
