Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Controller for a neighborhood healthcare organization in the Greater Boston area. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, grant administration, and ERP systems initiatives for a mission-driven nonprofit.

Ideal candidates hold a CPA, 7+ years of progressive accounting leadership, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with grants, audits, internal controls, and financial systems.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and budgeting.
• Experience with grants, audits, internal controls, and compliance.
• Healthcare nonprofit or grant-driven organization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Manage audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Direct grant accounting, reporting, and funding compliance activities.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial initiatives.
• Support ERP, reporting, analytics, and process improvement projects.
• Develop and mentor accounting and finance staff.
