Job summary

Arvato is hiring a Senior Project Buyer to lead procurement for materials and supplies, leveraging strong analytics to source, negotiate, and manage contracts. You will work with the purchasing lead and planning analyst to meet demand, maintain records, and optimize inventory levels.

You will place orders, monitor delivery, and drive KPI-based supplier performance, while collaborating with internal teams and Legal on contracts.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Expertise with SAP or any large ERP.
• Excel Pivot Tables, Word, Power Point, and Outlook etc.
• Able to collaborate professionally with all levels of employees, management, external and internal customers, and vendors.
• Organizational and planning skills, including ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders, ensure supplier acknowledgments and delivery dates, and monitor progress.
• Participate in monthly procurement meetings.
• Report variances to the Director of Procurement.
• Month end invoice reconciliation.
• Implement KPIs to ensure vendors meet Arvato’s requirements such as on-time delivery.
• Issue standardized RFP/RFQ to optimize spend.
• Contract negotiations in alignment with Legal.
• Collaborate with internal departments and regularly meet on needs and requirements.
• Report issues regarding vendor quality, dependability, and service to Director of Procurement.
• Follow ISO processes.
