Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking a Generation Planning Advisor to drive future resource planning initiatives. In this full-time role, you'll evaluate the impacts of new technologies on reliability and develop long-term strategic recommendations for North America's electric system.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in generation planning, resource adequacy, and electric utilities. A Master's degree and substantial experience in leadership roles are required.

Qualifications

• At least five years of leadership experience through supervision or project management.
• 8+ years of experience in generation planning and resource adequacy.
• Experience in electric utilities, ISOs, or RTOs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the impacts of growing inverter-based resources on future generation portfolios.
• Assess emerging resource adequacy challenges and reliability risks.
• Develop recommendations that improve long-term generation planning strategies.
