Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active California license in good standing.
  • 5+ years of legal experience advising businesses on growth, transactions, and regulatory compliance.
  • In-house experience or strong business partner orientation.
  • Experience with real estate, proptech, or regulated consumer business.
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate legal risk into practical business guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Advise ownership and executive team on strategy, growth, and structure.
  • Partner with leadership on new business lines, market expansion, partnerships, joint ventures, and corporate transactions.
  • Oversee regulatory readiness for new technology launches and initiatives.
  • Manage outside counsel and internal legal budget; handle disputes and settlements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate broad range of company agreements and templates.
  • Design and deliver compliance training for agents, staff, and leadership.
