Job summary

Valero is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist in San Antonio to support the monthly plan, earnings forecasts, and annual budget processes. You will develop ad-hoc reports from enterprise systems (AO, SAP), perform variance analyses, and assist with management presentations and FP&A tool maintenance.

The role requires on-site work, a relevant degree, CPA or CPA-in-progress, and about 5 years of accounting/finance experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5 years of accounting, equivalent public accounting, and/or accounting systems experience.
• CPA or CPA candidate required.
• Able to work on-site at Valero San Antonio location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly plan and earnings forecasts.
• Support annual budget process.
• Create ad-hoc reports from AO and SAP.
• Variance analysis of actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Prepare presentations for management (earnings updates, Board, budget).
• Maintain FP&A systems and reporting tools.
• Model emerging transactions in forecasted financial statements.
