Job summary

Devon Energy is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis professional to support asset planning teams, become a subject matter expert on Aries software, and drive monthly forecast reviews and improvements. You will collaborate across drilling, production, facilities, and accounting to deliver accurate insights and recommendations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in oil and gas forecasting or related data analysis, experience with Dash/React, and proficiency in SQL/Snowflake/SAP.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in oil and gas forecasting, finance, or data analysis.
• Experience building business logic for forecasting tools.
• Experience with Dash, React, and GitHub.
• Experience using AI to automate tasks and improve reporting.
• Forecast variance analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Review Aries forecast monthly before data extraction (expense, capital, production, price).
• Develops subject matter expertise with Aries software to support planning teams and provide best practice recommendations.
• Establishes connections with asset personnel and provides premier customer service to assigned asset teams.
• Provides technical assistance and training to team members on data analysis and systems usage.
• Verifies completeness and accuracy of internal and external data generated by team members.
• Reviews departmental processes and assists with implementing changes to improve effectiveness.
• Navigates ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders with limited direction and provides analyses.
• Solves technical problems and implements solutions with minimal supervision.
• Performs analysis on actuals vs forecast and suggests forecast improvements.
