Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, logistics, and compliance.
• Experience using market intelligence tools and analyzing industry trends.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop purchasing forecasts based on historical demand, sales initiatives, and market trends.
• Maintain inventory levels through effective planning and strategies.
• Anticipate future sales requirements to ensure product availability.
• Monitor meat industry trends and pricing via industry resources.
• Attend industry conferences to strengthen market knowledge and supplier networks.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure certifications and compliance documentation.
• Oversee import documentation and support SQF audit standards compliance.
• Source products from domestic packers, distributors, and import channels.
• Partner with sales and commercial teams to provide market insights and updates.
• Prepare and distribute regular market reports on industry trends and supply conditions.
• Coordinate customs clearance activities and resolve import-related issues.
• Communicate incoming inventory to production teams for planning.
