Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Deputy Director for Consolidated Analysis in New York, NY. The role coordinates development of the financial plan, leads multi-year analyses, and collaborates with OMB, leadership, the Board, and external entities.

The position requires expert budgeting, forecasting, econometric analysis, and strong communication. Telework is available one day per week; regular full-time work with a 9:00 am–5:30 pm schedule at 2 Broadway complex.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) from an accredited university or college is required with a preferred concentration in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Policy Analysis, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive budget, economic and finance experience in analytical roles.
• Minimum 4 years of experience supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing a framework for MTA Financial Plans and budgeting assumptions.
• Direct and oversee analysis of revenues and expenses and flag potential problems.
• Maintain liaison with Agency, Federal, State and City personnel and the finance community.
• Develop, monitor, and forecast cost forecasts for MTA Financial Plans.
• Provide economic, financial and demographic assumptions for Financial Plans.
• Monitor monthly and quarterly farebox, toll, and subsidy revenue performance and report to senior management.
