Job summary

Canvas, a premier defense contractor, seeks a Financial Management Support Specialist to aid federal program management at Arnold AFB, TN. The role focuses on budget forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reporting to support AEDC projects and related contracts.

Responsibilities include cost performance monitoring, workload coordination, and ensuring funding availability. Requires a bachelor’s in business or related field and 3–10 years of experience, with interim security clearance

Qualifications

• FM3-Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Related Field or substitution as described below.
• FM3- 3-10 years of experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree can be substituted with 6 years of relevant experience OR an Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial management support including cost performance monitoring and reporting.
• Implement cost best practices as a subject matter expert.
• Coordinate and prepare workload revisions.
• Monitor project cost performance and funding availability.
• Lead monthly cost performance reviews.
• Support standard work processes and procedures.
• Monitor labor, materials, utilities, and other costs for accuracy.
• Coordinate funding availability and limitations with stakeholders.
• Engage with DOD FM on fiscal year workloads and contract revisions.
• Provide financial analysis of current actuals and workloads.
• Coordinate updates with AF PM on project cost overruns.
• Perform weekly reconciliation of ACWP and current workloads.
