The National Education Association (NEA) seeks an experienced Senior Accountant/Finance professional to join the Business & Financial Services team. You will evaluate financial health, risk, and internal controls, analyze audit reports and budgets, and develop strategies to strengthen fiscal accountability across NEA and affiliated organizations.

The role requires CPA designation, deep GAAP/GAAS knowledge, and hands-on experience with ledgers and financial systems such as SAP/Oracle.

Qualifications

• GAAP/GAAS knowledge required and familiarity with FASB standards.
• Experience analyzing financial statements, budgets and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Consult with NEA staff and affiliates to evaluate financial health and risk.
• Analyze audit reports, financial statements and budgets; recommend improvements.
• Develop and deliver financial trainings and presentations to leadership.
