Job summary

The U.S. Marshals Service is seeking a Financial Specialist to analyze District procedures and recommend improvements to management. The role supports program objectives by evaluating expenditures, financial reports, and procurements.

Selected candidates are assigned to a CONUS-wide duty location, with pay determined by location. GS-9 level requires time-in-grade and related experience or education as specified, and transcripts must be provided.

Qualifications

• One year (12 months) of full-time specialized work experience equivalent to GS-07 showing ability to review financial reports, identify problems, and suggest solutions.
• Education: master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of graduate education; or LL.B./J.D. related to the work.
• Combination of education and experience with transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing District procedures to identify more efficient methods.
• Recommend changes/improvements to District management.
• Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
