HORIBA Instruments Inc. in Houston, TX, or Salt Lake City, UT, seeks an experienced Financial Analyst to join our shared services accounting team.

The analyst will analyze results and variances, support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditures, and provide management with reports and recommendations. Applicants should hold a Bachelor's in Finance, demonstrate strong analytical abilities, and possess knowledge of core accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of core accounting principles, practices and financial concepts.
• Possess strong mathematical and analytical skills with excellent problem solving skills.
• SAP FI/CO experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance a must.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze variances, trends, and opportunities across strategy, finance and operations.
• Provide financial analysis of sales, cost of goods sold, margins, and capital expenditures.
• Reconcile balances and transactions by comparing and correcting data.
• Prepare reports and present findings, analyses and recommendations to management.
• Assist in annual budgets, forecasts and variance analyses.
• Create and support financial models to analyze 'what if' scenarios.
