Job summary

The Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University’s School of Medicine seeks a Financial Analyst 2 to perform complex finance functions supporting faculty. Responsibilities include budgeting, reporting, and process improvement under the Finance Manager. Hybrid eligible with a pay range of $120,327 to $135,922 annual.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong communication skills, including ability to prepare materials for and clearly communicate information.
• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to contribute to or lead part of a multi-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Perform and design ad hoc analyses of large complex data sets: reconcile complex accounts.
• Construct and assemble data for budgeting and decision making; develop conclusions and present high level summary.
• Conduct analysis and resolution; develop solutions that may require policy changes or new processes.
• Execute internal control programs; research regulations and implement changes.
• Develop reports and presentations of complex financial data and metrics for management and third parties.
• Participate as a member of a project team and support new initiatives.
