Xcel Energy is seeking a Sr Financial Analyst in Denver to lead financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You will coordinate development and tracking of financial information, provide actionable recommendations to management, and document processes for internal controls.

This role directs other analysts and supports regulatory and rate-case work. Ideal candidates have at least four years of finance experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and strong skills in Excel and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum four years of experience in general financial accounting or analysis.
• CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze and revise financials for O&M and capital costs; project impact to leadership.
• Support annual budget process and five-year forecasting with modeling and analysis.
• Document key processes to ensure compliance and drive improvements.
• Prepare rate case information and provide regulatory support as needed.
• Contribute to special projects as assigned.
