Job summary

VCU Health is seeking a Financial Report Analyst Senior to provide financial management support across management levels, assist with strategic funding, budget development, and financial reporting for the department. The role monitors financial performance, manages funding sources for MCVP, VCU, MCV Foundation and other entities, and conducts financial reviews for strategic initiatives.

Proactive reporting and compliance with guidelines are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited program.
• 3 years of progressively more responsible accounting/finance, budgeting, financial forecasting and accounts payable experience in a healthcare setting.
• Previous experience developing financial spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Proactively designs reports and monitors the department’s financial performance.
• Leads the department through monthly financial reviews.
• Addresses administrator, division chiefs and department chair’s questions regarding the financial operations of the department.
• Completes financial analysis by conducting research, investigating, analyzing, reconciling and evaluating data.
• Proactively identifies potential issues and recommends appropriate response.
• A wide degree of creativity and independence is expected.
