Laminar, a San Francisco-based hardware-enabled software company, is seeking a senior finance leader to partner with the founders. You’ll own the operating model, help allocate capital, and play a central role in the next fundraising.

You will build the financial model linked to sales and deployment, lead budgeting and forecasting, and drive strategic initiatives from business case through launch. This is a high-impact role with broad influence across product, operations, and strategy.

The Role

Work directly with Laminar’s founders to connect financial insight with the decisions that shape the company. You’ll own the operating model, help determine where capital goes, and play a central role in the next fundraise, while getting directly involved in building new initiatives.

What You Will Own

• Build the financial model connecting sales, deployment capacity, engineering investment, and cash requirements
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and management reporting
• Understand account and deployment economics, and evaluate investments in new markets and capabilities
• Drive fundraising preparation and execution alongside the founders, including the narrative, data room, and diligence
• Take selected strategic initiatives from business case through launch

What You’ll Bring

Experience in strategic finance, investment banking, investing, or startup operations. You can build a rigorous model, explain what it means, and use it to make decisions. You want responsibility for what happens after the analysis.

Our Interview Process

1. Phone screen with Laminar Head of Ops or Recruiter (15-20 minutes)

2. Intro call with Hiring Manager (30 minutes)

3. On-site interview, overview of tech, and interview/presentation with the Hiring Manager and a few team members. Depending on the role, a skills exercise that should take no longer than an hour to prep, would be sent ahead of time. We record your skills exercise to share with any team members who could not join the interview and/or with Founder's ahead of their Founder's Interview. If you are not local, we can conduct this virtually.

4. Finalists for Full-Time positions will have a Founder’s Interview in-person

If an Offer Letter is extended, a Background check is conducted
