Job summary

Google Cloud seeks a Financial Controller, Deal Desk and Technical Accounting to partner with GTM and Cloud leadership. You will lead the most complex commercial agreements, shape accounting conclusions, and drive scalable frameworks across the portfolio.

Bring deep ASC 606/US GAAP knowledge, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
CPA or CA certification.
14 years of accounting experience (or 10 years with advanced degree).
Experience in US GAAP/ASC 606 revenue recognition for tech.
Experience building or leading a team.

Responsibilities

Partner with Sales, Legal, and Business Development during negotiations to design commercial structures.
Lead the technical assessment of complex deals to define accounting conclusions and scalable frameworks for revenue recognition.
Collaborate with Finance Systems and Engineering to scale infrastructure and automate contract reviews.
Drive upstream requirements and automated global controls to ensure financial integrity.
Mentor and develop a high-performing team of technical accountants.
