Job summary

United Way of Greater Charlotte is seeking a VP of Strategy and Executive Operations, an executive‑level role reporting to the CEO, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. This position is hybrid, based in Charlotte, NC.

You will manage the CEO's cadence, priorities, and board relationships while owning the organization‑wide strategy workplan, ensuring alignment across departments and timely progress.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from plan to execution.
• Experience supporting executives or serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
• Experience preparing materials for a board or senior governing body.
• Strong writing and presentation skills, and good judgment with confidential information.
• Background in change management, organizational development, or people strategy is a plus.
• PMP or equivalent project management credential is a plus.
• Genuine connection to Charlotte and the communities UWGC serves.

Responsibilities

• Support the CEO by managing cadence, agendas, and follow-up.
• Lead strategic execution across departments with a clear workplan.
• Manage board materials and liaison with Board Chair.
• Track performance with a dashboard of rollout metrics.
• Oversee change management and staff communications.
