Job summary

PiovanGroup seeks a Production Planner/Scheduler in Niles, IL to create, maintain, and communicate production schedules that support on-time customer delivery and efficient use of manufacturing capacity. This role uses the Made2Manage ERP system to review orders, plan capacity, release work to production, and coordinate priorities across departments.

You will develop routings, manage BOMs, monitor material constraints, schedule overtime when needed, and support engineering, service, and repair

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning, scheduling, materials planning, or a related manufacturing role.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; Made2Manage and SAP experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, routings, production schedules, and related docs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review customer orders and create or update job orders in the ERP system.
• Load BOMs and establish operation routings for engineered-to-order jobs.
• Capacity plan new orders and schedule capacity based on delivery dates and priorities.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, Production, and Service on priorities.
• Release and stage orders for production, ensuring schedule readiness.
• Review material constraints and advise on issues affecting schedule or delivery.
• Support engineering, service, and repair orders and handle daily releases and documentation.
• Communicate shortages and schedule changes to stakeholders.
