Job summary

Blue Owl is seeking a private equity investment professional in New York to join its strategic equity efforts (Blue Owl Strategic Equity) focused on concentrated LP-led secondaries and multi-asset continuation vehicles. You will conduct financial modeling, diligence, and valuations to support investment decisions.

The role involves presenting to investment committees, building sponsor and LP relationships, and contributing to fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of private equity experience, with preference for LP-led secondaries.
• Experience with fund and company financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, and investment processes.
• Ability to clearly articulate ideas in writing and in presentations to diverse audiences.

The Role: The opportunity to work with senior leadership as part of a team building and growing a best-in-class private equity effort (Blue Owl Strategic Equity or âBOSEâ) within the broader Blue Owl platform. The role focuses primarily on concentrated LP-led private equity secondaries and multi-asset continuation vehicle investments, leveraging Blue Owlâs extensive private equity sponsor relationships. Additionally, the role will have exposure to single-asset continuation vehicles or direct minority equity investments. Fund I recently closed at ~$3bn of AUM. Responsibilities: Evaluation of potential new investments, including business diligence, portfolio, fund and company financial modeling, valuation work, legal negotiation, and execution Preparation of investment memos and presentation to investment committee Portfolio monitoring and ensuring value creation Periodic fund marketing and participation in strategic initiatives Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in private equity with a preference for LP-led private equity secondaries experience Experience with fund and company financial modeling, financial statement analysis, due diligence, valuation, and other investment processes Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands Ability to clearly articulate ideas, both written and oral, to internal and external audiences across levels of seniority Ability to build relationships with private equity sponsors, Limited Partners, business leaders, corporate functions, and external constituents Entrepreneurial work ethic to build and scale a large fund business and culture It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based non-exempt position will $150,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
