Job summary

McWane Group’s Tyler Pipe Texas facility seeks an Environmental Manager to lead environmental engineering, compliance and sustainability efforts. You will steer regulatory adherence across air, water and waste, while guiding safe, efficient plant operations.

The role reports to the General Manager and collaborates with the Environmental Compliance Director. You will oversee a team of environmental professionals and liaise with regulators, consultants, and internal stakeholders to align

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• Five or more years in environmental management, preferably in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal environmental laws, air/water/waste regulations.
• Proficiency with data processing systems and environmental reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for environmental programs and compliance.
• Develop and maintain environmental permits, registrations and exemptions.
• Review environmental reports for accuracy and timeliness before submission.
• Evaluate projects to ensure compliance with permits and regulatory obligations.
• Lead training on environmental practices for management and hourly staff.
• Interface with regulators and external consultants; oversee inspections and audits.
• Maintain environmental records and documentation, ensuring timely completion.
• Develop and manage the environmental department budget and cost analyses.
