TechDoQuest is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to drive target-state architectures for complex digital platforms in the Washington, D.C. area. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to shape roadmaps and govern architectural standards.

The role requires deep cloud, microservices, API-led integration, and event-driven design expertise, plus strong leadership and communication skills to align delivery teams with enterprise goals.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years leading IT architecture in enterprise environments.
• Six+ years designing architecture for complex enterprise apps and platforms.
• Proven experience integrating cloud, on-prem, SaaS, and legacy systems.
• Deep understanding of app architecture, design principles, and EA practices.
• Knowledge of distributed and cloud-native patterns, microservices, and API-led integration.
• Strong SDLC understanding and modern delivery methodologies.
• Exceptional analytical and technical leadership with stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document requirements with business and technical stakeholders.
• Define target-state architectures and roadmaps aligned to business goals.
• Present approaches and plans to internal and customer stakeholders.
• Assess current apps and platforms; produce architecture reviews and gap analyses.
• Evaluate quality of software across architecture, design, integration, and code.
• Lead architecture work during inception, including PoCs and feasibility assessments.
• Produce architecture documents, standards, and decision records.
• Provide guidance through solution construction, testing, deployment, and transition.
• Ensure alignment with EA standards, security, scalability, and operations.
• Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, data, and business teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Present deliverables and decisions to leadership and customers.
