Job summary

Remain Co is hiring a Category Manager, Energy & Utilities to lead sourcing for electricity, natural gas, renewables, and related services. You will monitor markets, manage risk, and drive value through strategic supplier partnerships.

The role requires a track record in energy procurement, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple sites in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must have progressive experience in strategic sourcing and energy procurement.
• Experience in RFx processes, evaluations, and contract management.
• Strong ability to analyze market data and make business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for electricity, natural gas, utilities, renewable energy, and related services.
• Monitor energy markets, pricing structures, regulatory developments, and risks to inform sourcing decisions.
• Lead category planning and competitive sourcing events, including RFx, bid evaluations, and supplier selection.
• Negotiate contracts for utility supply, energy services, and renewable projects.
• Manage utilities portfolio and coordinate hedging strategies with advisors.
• Identify opportunities for on-site/off-site energy projects aligned with decarbonization goals.
• Define supplier models and present recommendations to stakeholders.
• Build supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Plant Management, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Sustainability to define requirements.
