Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage employment litigation and defense.
• Select and monitor outside counsel for cost-effective handling.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Conduct and/or manage employment arbitrations and represent the company in legal settings.
• Oversee responses to federal/state EEO, DOL, and other agency charges.
• Advise HR, Loss Prevention, Store Operations, and Logistics on compliance issues.
• Draft employment-related policies and procedures.
• Identify employment-related risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Stay informed of legal trends and communicate with partners.
• Represent the company at trials, hearings, investigations, mediations, and settlement conferences.
