Job summary

JLL is seeking an Economic Development Specialist in Kansas City, KS, to support regional client Managers with site location services and opportunities for growth. The role emphasizes strong coordination, market analysis, and strategic stakeholder engagement.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree and 5+ years in economic development or commercial real estate, plus proficiency with Office tools and Salesforce CRM. Travel up to 25% and on-site work at project locations are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preferred in Business Admin, Real Estate, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive experience in economic development and/or commercial real estate.
• Direct experience in railroad operations or logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project Management & Coordination: Manage internal reviews, monitor progress, build relationships, ensure timelines and quality.
• Business Development & Client Relations: Conduct market research, develop presentations and proposals for prospects.
• Administrative & Reporting: Use PM tools, generate reports, maintain documentation, support special projects.
