Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a hands-on General Manager for The Midland Hotel in Downtown Chicago. You will lead all hotel operations across front desk, F&B, housekeeping, sales and marketing, and capital projects to deliver exceptional guest experiences and financial results.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive hospitality leadership, a degree in Hospitality or Travel & Tourism, and proven ability to manage large teams in a high‑volume, union environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field.
  • Proven leadership of busy downtown hotel operations.
  • Experience with budgeting, strategic planning and capital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to drive growth and profitability.
  • Lead a diverse team of department heads and staff, fostering collaboration.
  • Oversee front office, maintenance, accounting, sales & marketing, housekeeping, F&B, banquets, and more.
  • Create and manage the hotel budget, monitor financial performance and drive revenue.
  • Foster a guest-centric culture and address guest feedback promptly.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and health & safety standards.
