Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. is seeking an IT Policy Analyst to support AFCENT NOSC policy development at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC.

The role focuses on DoD information technology, cybersecurity, and data policy, with opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities include interpreting DoD policy for AFCENT alignment, authoring policy documents, shepherding reviews, and training NOSC personnel on new policies.

Qualifications

• B.S. in related field and 5+ years’ relevant experience or 7+ years’ relevant experience
• ITIL Foundation certification (within 60 days)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Technical writing experience
• Ability to multi-task on multiple projects
• Strong organizational skills
• Public speaking/training experience to train NOSC personnel
• Familiarity with DoD and U.S. Government policy
• Active DoD Secret clearance or Interim Secret clearance eligibility

Responsibilities

• Support DoD information technology, cybersecurity, and data policy development.
• Interpret DoD and U.S. Government policy for AFCENT alignment.
• Author policy documents and memoranda.
• Translate policy and technical issues into plain-language documents.
• Coordinate policy reviews with stakeholders.
• Represent AFCENT A6 in policy groups and meetings.
• Provide recommendations to improve policy artifacts.
• Maintain a repository of policy documents and update sharing processes.
• Train NOSC personnel on new policies.
• Prepare briefings and reports to AFCENT leadership.
