Job summary

PDS Health in Irvine, CA is seeking a Director of Risk, Internal Controls & Risk Operations to design and implement the company’s internal control infrastructure and risk processes. You will partner with various departments to build a sustainable control environment aligned with the organization's growth.

Responsibilities include overseeing enterprise processes, developing the Risk and Control Matrix, and implementing a Governance, Risk, and Compliance platform. Successful candidates will have a strong background in risk management or internal controls and be equipped to thrive in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in internal controls, internal audit, risk management, accounting, compliance, or related governance functions.
• 6+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience designing and managing Risk and Control Matrices (RCM) and structured internal control frameworks.
• Experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
• Experience designing practical, scalable control frameworks within high-growth organizations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a structured internal control framework supporting key financial and operational processes.
• Develop and maintain the organization’s Risk and Control Matrix (RCM).
• Establish standardized methodologies for process documentation, risk assessment, and control design.
• Evaluate control effectiveness and drive continuous improvement across the control environment.
• Develop reporting and insights to support executive leadership decision-making.
