Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of purchasing and contracting management-level experience, including at least one year of supervision.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or certified foreign studies equivalency.
• Professional certification or advanced training in public procurement, purchasing, or contracting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set direction for the Department of Purchasing and Contracting; oversee major solicitations, negotiations, and contract administration.
• Work with department leaders to resolve obstacles and improve service; ensure equity, sustainability, and local access in procurement.
• Lead modernization initiatives across Oracle, BuyNet, records/search tools, AI pilots, and process redesign.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Master's degree or higher may substitute for one year of experience
