RAND Corporation's National Security Research Division seeks a Program Director for the Navy and Marine Forces Program in the Washington, DC area. The Director will oversee research agenda, sponsor relationships, and growth of the program while maintaining RAND's standards for quality and objectivity.

Expect a five-year term, with at least 50% effort on running the program and remaining time on research. Requirements include a Master’s and 10+ years of leadership in national security research,

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; PhD desirable.
• At least 10 years research experience.
• Experience with senior national security leaders and program leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead research program in NMF policy domains and grow funding.
• Provide intellectual leadership for program research and recruit staff.
• Translate findings into policy-relevant briefs meeting RAND standards.
• Engage with sponsors and maintain relationships to drive growth.
