Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Director to lead the governance, vendor lifecycle, contracting coordination, and operational backbone for commercial data acquisition. You will ensure data assets are governed, contracted, documented, and supported through scalable processes with compliant standards.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree with 4+ years in data acquisition, governance, or related areas.
• Master’s degree with 8+ years in data governance, vendor management, or analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in data governance, operations, or analytics.

Responsibilities

• Define and oversee compliant Commercial Data Governance and Acquisition operations and policies.
• Lead governance, contracting coordination, onboarding readiness, and access planning.
• Provide governance input to Executives and cross-functional partners on data assets.
• Identify vendor consolidation, reduce onboarding complexity, and optimize spend.
• Set controls, documentation standards, and catalog practices for data assets.
• Develop contracting and renewal strategies with Legal, Privacy, Procurement, and Finance.
• Lead data governance across GCCI and oversee vendor performance and training.
• Collaborate with Technology, Data Management, and Data Science to ensure feasibility and access.
