Job summary

Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. in Houston seeks a Director, Risk Management to lead commodity risk strategies and hedge execution across ICE/CME and OTC markets. The role partners with executive leadership to identify cash flow exposures and deliver risk insights for budgeting and reporting.

This senior position involves developing hedging programs, monitoring exposures, and coordinating with Finance, Commercial and Operational teams, with direct interaction with the Board on risk matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in commodity risk management in energy/industrial trading environments.
• Minimum 5 years executing futures on ICE and CME and OTC energy swaps and options with investment banks or counterparties.
• Minimum 7 years leading, developing, and mentoring teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain updated exposure positions and mark-to-market reports for key risk categories and strategies.
• Execute hedges as required and capture hedge transactions on timely basis.
• Serve as risk liaison to Commercial and Treasury teams, monitoring exposures and insights for business decisions.
• Lead development of weekly risk reporting for senior management and board committees.
• Review monthly hedging transactions with Accounting for accuracy and regulatory reporting.
