Job summary

The University of Wisconsin Colleges seeks an Executive Director of Development to lead a comprehensive major gifts program within University Advancement and the UW-La Crosse Alumni & Friends Foundation. You will direct a team, manage donor pipelines, and collaborate with senior leadership to meet fundraising goals.

Ideal candidates have extensive major/ principal gift experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a track record of fundraising success in higher education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and nonprofit or higher education development experience.
• Seven or more years of major gift fundraising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a major gifts program with a portfolio of ~75 prospects.
• Supervise and mentor a team of major gift officers.
• Develop donor discovery, cultivation, and solicitation plans to meet annual metrics.
• Collaborate with University Advancement, Foundation leadership, and academic leaders.
