Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Buyer to procure materials and services for defense manufacturing operations, coordinating closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, and Supply Chain to ensure on-schedule delivery and compliance. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and FAR/DFARS is preferred.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing purchasing, with strong negotiation and analytical skills to manage supplier performance and material lead times in a highly regulated

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing/buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Defense, aerospace, government contracting, or precision manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong understanding of purchase orders, supplier negotiations, inventory, and material lead times.
• Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials, components, equipment, and services for defense manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, and Supply Chain to ensure on-schedule availability and compliance with technical/quality requirements.
• Monitor suppliers, purchase orders, lead times, and material requirements to maintain cost competitiveness and timelines.
