Job summary

The NBA is hiring a WNBA Team Business Strategy Analyst to partner with the WNBA and share best practices across business areas such as ticketing, partnerships, and marketing. You will lead cross-functional, data-driven projects and own bedrock team reports to support league decisions.

A strong Excel/SQL foundation and executive communication are required. This temporary role (up to 10 months) supports the Data Strategy & Analytics group, with a remote option of one day per week for eligible

Qualifications

Foundational understanding of WNBA team business needs and operational requirements.
Strong collaborator who can operate in a matrixed organization to influence and drive results.
Excellent executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into simple communications.
Technical foundation in Excel, SQL and/or other platforms to support reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

Work with WNBA team and league counterparts to understand common problems and use those to implement a strategic support model.
Lead a set of cross-functional strategic and data-driven projects that support team initiatives and operations.
Own new bedrock WNBA team reports requiring consistent engagement across ticketing, partnerships, marketing, and more.
Be a source for innovation in the business data space, leveraging new tech and AI to create minimally viable products.
Champion team innovation by sharing best practices and evangelizing league-provided solutions.
