Job summary

SHI is seeking a Principal Architect to lead and coordinate delivery across data engineering, visualization, governance, and AI on large, multi-disciplinary engagements. You will set standards, drive practice maturation, and ensure scalable, repeatable delivery across teams.

The role emphasizes delivering with a unified technical approach, mentoring architects, and applying AI tooling to improve delivery value while managing risk and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Ten or more years delivering enterprise data or AI solutions, including substantial experience in a consulting environment.
• Expert-level depth in one discipline with working proficiency in at least two others to lead delivery and evaluate decisions across them.
• Experience taking a practice capability from assessment through to an adopted standard (delivery standards, accelerator libraries, interview calibration, etc.).
• Experience leading technical delivery across more than one discipline on large or complex engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery approach on large, multi-disciplinary engagements spanning data engineering, data visualization, data governance, and AI.
• Orchestrate a unified solution approach across capability leads, integrating each discipline’s direction into a coherent delivery plan.
• Own delivery approach, including structuring work, sequencing, staffing, and de-risking across workstreams.
• Identify delivery risk early and intervene to maintain approach, quality, and coherence.
