Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Shelton, CT is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage end-to-end materials planning and purchasing for production. This role supports manufacturing, co-manufacturing, and distribution, balancing service, cost, and working capital in a fast-paced CPG environment.

You will partner with Operations, Supply Planning, Quality, Finance, and suppliers to ensure material availability, execute purchase orders, and manage supplier performance. Salary range reflects market norms for the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 2–5 years in planning, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JDE) preferred.
• Familiarity with MRP, BOM structures, production processes, and S&OP/IBP environments.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
