Job summary

You will validate financial models, prepare executive-level reports, and maintain data in the Optimization Hub, while coaching teams on financial analysis and narrative standards to support decision making.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD; advanced Excel skills with financial modeling.
• Working proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools.
• Experience preparing and presenting executive-level reporting to senior leadership.
• Ability to develop proficiency in FinOps Framework as well as data center and cloud financial management concepts.
• Strong written communication skills, with experience holding business documents to an explicit narrative standard.
• Ability to work independently within established standards and recommend improvements to templates and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Partner with IPTs to develop data-driven business cases and optimization ideas from problem definition through approval and benefits realization.
• Gather and synthesize financial, operational, technical, and qualitative data into cohesive narrative artifacts.
• Independently validate financial assumptions and calculations using established templates and methods.
• Perform sensitivity and risk analyses to identify risks and document recommendations.
• Review business cases and artifacts for completeness, consistency, defensibility, and executive-readiness.
• Advise and coach IPTs on business case development, financial modeling, and narrative quality.
• Maintain data accuracy, completeness, traceability, and reporting readiness in the Optimization Hub.
• Produce and analyze approved business cases and performance reporting for reviews.
• Escalate material variances and aging actions with clear analysis and recommendations.
• Partner with stakeholders to reconcile savings, run-rate vs one-time classifications, and budget-to-actual results.
• Identify data-quality issues and recommend improvements to templates, standards, metrics, and processes.
• Prepare and present financial analyses and portfolio insights to managers and directors.
