DMG MORI Advanced Manufacturing & Innovation Center (DMAMIC) in Goose Island, Chicago, IL, seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to establish standard costing, partner with engineering, and manage cost reporting for both manufacturing and R&D projects. Full-time on-site role with travel up to 10%.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with government contracts or regulated R&D environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with government contracts or regulated R&D environments is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Establish and maintain standard cost systems for parts production, including material, labor, overhead, and machine-time allocations.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and provide explanations to leadership.
• Support inventory valuation, WIP tracking, and absorption costing per IFRS.
• Partner with operations and engineering to ensure accurate routings and cost drivers.
• Track and allocate costs for R&D projects and government-funded contracts.
• Maintain documentation to support compliance with government contracting requirements.
