Job summary

Hog Technologies is seeking a Cost Accountant in Stuart, FL to develop standard costs, maintain cost systems, and support monthly forecasting. The role involves close collaboration with Operations to analyze product lines, variances, and inventory costs, ensuring accurate cost data for decision making.

The position requires manufacturing cost experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to support lean initiatives and year-end close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Three to five years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• MS Office, particularly Excel.
• MRP system experience.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• MBA, CMA or CPA recognition is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop standard costs to be used for our products.
• Maintain cost database with monthly cost updates and BOM reviews.
• Cost all machine shipments and forecast COGS for monthly forecasts.
• Analyze and record monthly purchase price variance, scrap expense and other inventory entries.
• Review monthly manufacturing variances for reasonableness and resolve errors.
• Analyze product warranty expenses and calculate monthly provisions.
• Collaborate with Operations to develop reports for product line analysis.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and cost projects.
