Job summary

CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting a high-growth manufacturing client in Cleveland’s west side in their search for a Corporate Controller. This hands-on leadership role oversees day-to-day accounting, drives systems and process improvements, and partners with the leadership team to scale the finance function.

The ideal candidate will supervise one staff member, coordinate with an external accounting firm, and help shape long-term financial strategy through forward-looking insights and scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 8+ years progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with hands‑on oversight.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and inventory management.
• Manage cash flow, disbursements, and maintain bank line of credit balances.
• Coordinate the year-end review and tax return process with external accountants, ensuring timely provision of supporting documents.
• Lead efforts to build a scalable accounting and finance function and drive process improvements.
