Job summary

Summit Drilling, LLC is seeking a senior Controller to lead accounting operations across a growing portfolio of entities. Responsibilities include financial reporting, month-end close, job costing, fleet and fixed asset accounting, internal controls, cash flow management, and acquisition integration.

Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will build scalable processes, partner with regional leaders, and drive standardization across the organization to support growth across the Eastern U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires strong technical accounting expertise in financial reporting, month-end close, job costing, fleet and fixed asset accounting, internal controls, and cash flow management.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting functions: AP, AR, billing, GL, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities with timely reconciliations and accurate results.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate annual budgeting and forecasting with regional leadership.
• Analyze performance and provide insights on budget-to-actual variances.
• Lead work-in-progress reporting and project accounting; evaluate margins and costs.
• Integrate acquisitions and standardize accounting across entities.
• Implement and improve internal controls, policies, and close procedures.
