Job summary

Diamond C in Mount Pleasant, TX seeks a Controller to manage finances, reporting, and budgeting. The role partners with the Executive Finance Leader to drive profitable growth and optimize operations for our team, customers, and community. On-site, Mon-Fri 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in Mt. Pleasant, TX.

A successful Controller will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial management and accounting standards and will lead with communication and leadership skills to optimize profitability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
• At least five years' experience as a financial administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary finance partner to the executive team and provide insights to improve performance.
• Lead accounting and financial reporting initiatives and special projects.
• Maintain robust internal controls and coordinate internal audits.
• Support external auditors in prep and on-site activities during audits.
• Streamline month-end close and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Improve controls around investments and fixed assets.
• Oversee budgeting/forecasting processes and drive accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and mentor accounting staff to support growth.
