Job summary

Wainwright Talent Partners represents a growing construction management firm in the greater Boston area seeking a Controller. The role oversees budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis, reporting to the CFO and collaborating with the executive team to drive growth.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in a similar role within commercial construction, strong accounting knowledge, and proven leadership to manage finance teams and external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar Controller role.
• Experience in commercial construction preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and audits.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial policies to ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and advise on improvements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes for timely payments.
• Conduct regular audits and ensure internal controls compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers to track costs and projections.
• Prepare and present financial reports to executives and board.
• Manage cash flow and support strategic financial decisions.
• Oversee annual audit process and liaise with banks and auditors.
